During the holiday season, it warms our hearts to see adoption rates increase. But for every adoption, we receive at least three requests to take in a dog with nowhere else to go. As you can imagine, each time a neglected or abandoned dog arrives in our care, it breaks our hearts.

Since the holidays are also the traditional time of giving, we are blessed to have a group of dedicated supporters who have pledged a matching gift challenge of $75,000. Through the end of the year, every dollar you donate will be matched – dollar for dollar – up to $75,000. With our intake rates increasing, this matching gift challenge couldn't have come at a better time.

Contributions this holiday season will go a long way in supporting the care we provide for our sanctuary dogs - dogs who have never found their forever homes, like Reyna. These donations will also support newly rescued puppies like Atticus, who was abandoned and left to try to survive on his own. When he arrived in our care, he was emaciated and did not trust humans. Upon arrival, our team did what we do best. Atticus received the medical care he desperately needed along with a nourishing diet and all the love and attention he needed to begin to trust people again. Today, Atticus is a bouncing, happy puppy ready for adoption and hunting for a new family! We're overjoyed we had the resources needed to help poor little Atticus as soon as he arrived. Who knows what would have happened had our team not intervened?
