A Tough Few Months — and a Chance to Help

The last few months at Straydog have been really hard. We’ve said yes to dogs in desperate situations — dogs hit by cars, dogs left behind with untreated injuries, dogs needing quality of life surgeries, just to have a shot at the life they deserve. And we said yes because that’s what we do. That’s who we are.
I see these dogs every single day. I’m there when they arrive scared and in pain. I sit with them while they heal. And I’m there to celebrate the moment their tails start wagging again — when they start to believe they’re safe.
We believe every dog deserves a fighting chance.
But behind every “yes” is a cost — and right now, we’re carrying $19,432 in medical bills with another TPLO surgery scheduled this week at $4,000. These are necessary procedures, not optional ones. They’re what make the difference between a life of suffering and a second chance.
We won’t stop giving these dogs what they need — but today, we’re asking for your help.
If you’ve ever believed in second chances… in doing what’s right even when it’s hard… in the healing power of compassion — I hope you’ll consider making a gift. Every dollar brings us closer to zero — and closer to saying “yes” to the next dog who needs us.
